I recently put the Electric Glassware Polishing and Drying Machine to the test to see if it could actually eliminate the tedious chore of hand-polishing delicate stemware. This countertop device promises to handle everything from champagne flutes to beer mugs using high-speed microfiber heads.
The machine features a motorized base with dual brush heads intended to clean both the inside and outside of glasses simultaneously. While the microfiber material is soft, the overall housing feels like a specialized piece of kitchen equipment that requires careful maintenance to ensure the brushes remain sanitary.
Using the device involves guiding glasses over the spinning brushes, which can feel a bit awkward until you get the hang of the motor speed. It does effectively remove water spots and lipstick, though the setup takes up valuable counter space in smaller kitchens.
This is best suited for serious wine collectors or professional hosts who manage large volumes of glassware and want to avoid the manual labor of drying by hand.
Given the current performance, I am holding at a 0/5 rating as I evaluate how the machine holds up under frequent usage. For $119, the convenience is clear, but I remain skeptical about whether this replaces the simple effectiveness of a high-quality microfiber cloth.
